JTTI Mission & objectives

The overall mission of the JTTI is to improve the socio-economic conditions and enhance sustainable livelihoods among the rural poor of Jambiani and the South East coast of Zanzibar.

The specific objectives are to:

• Provide training and capacity-building in the tourism sector to the rural poor
• Increase local people’s access to employment and income
• Enhance the participation of rural people in tourism development in Zanzibar
